"If our mind is shaped by our experiences, so too, our body shaped by our repeated actions. The uselesness of the body builders craft is akin to the mental agility of little practical application enjoyed by the 'idiot savant'. To have our form shaped though, by the obsessions that we undertake, is to create a wonderful landscape to explore. To enjoy the naked form as art is to grow beyond the human desires we feel. And thus we open up a whole new world of beauty, hitherto only seen as stimulus" - Doug
I love the way she's been placed on a block, the way the lighting comes from in front of her and the way it seems like she about to explode into life from the starting block position she is posed in. Also like the vast amounts of negative space surrounding her .. exceptional well thought out, planned and executed piece of work my friend
OK we KNOW and SEE that you are a brilliant photographer (kissed by the muses I'd say) and therefore my humble comments can be little more (or less) than superflous.
She looks, as *danisan would say, poised.
What really turns me on (in the most encompassing way) is the thought of Doug the Thinker.
(Licking my lips again). The bit about enjoying the naked form as art and growing beyond my desires: I experienced this (when I did life drawing) at first with a sense of puzzlement and then understanding if not to say elation and exhileration.
i am missing a bit of the tenseness you would have in such a position, instead of looking down she should look straight ahead. just what i think
very good work though!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.

In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
